Collier Cobb Lilly was a junior at Davidson College working a summer job at Jackson Hole, Wyo., when he died in an automobile accident. His parents donated his organs after his death, and started the ride to encourage others to do the same.
The Collier Lilly Ride 4 Life is a recreational bike ride to honor the life of Collier Cobb Lilly, a brother of SAE from Davidson, raise awareness and money for organ sharing, and to bring various communities together to celebrate life!
Saturday, June 2, 2012 @ 7:00 AM
For serious cyclists, the day kicks-off with a 100K (@ 62 miles), or a 50K (@ 31 miles); for the recreational rider, a 15K (@ 10 miles) route is offered. All three routes travel along the beautiful back roads of Mecklenburg, Iredell, Rowan, and Cabarrus counties and end on the campus of Davidson College. These rides will be fully supported with rest stops and SAG vehicles.
This year the Collier Lilly Ride 4 Life has a new home! The rides will begin and end at the McMillan Building in Davidson College; please check the info page for directions!
